Give parallel tasks separate working copies

Let the agent work in worktrees or independent folders and integrate results after comparing them.

Example: fix a total and prepare documentation#

Assign a cart-total fix to one chat and an API guide update to another. Each task works on its own files. You can review the two results separately and choose what to bring back into the project.

Start the first working copy#

For a Git root with an initial commit, the app prepares a dedicated worktree and branch. For a folder without Git, it prepares an independent copy. A project can contain both: the panel shows Git worktree or Folder copy for each folder.

  1. Save the open files you want to include in the task baseline.
  2. Open a project chat and choose Act.
  3. Under Task environment, select Isolated copy · final review.
  4. Write a precise request, such as “Fix the cart total and add a test for a 100% discount,” then choose Send.
  5. Open New conversation and assign the second task using the same environment: you can run up to three in parallel.

Bring reviewed files back into the project#

If an original changed after the task started, the conflict preserves your content. Check both versions and update the work before applying again.

  1. Open Conversation tools → Task environments and choose the task, or use Open review in the Activity center.
  2. Inspect the comparison for each created, changed or deleted file. Use Refresh comparison to reread the result.
  3. Check the files you want to keep and choose Apply selected files.

Result and next step#

The selected files are now in your project. Open Tests to verify them and use the normal Git workflow when you want to commit. When finished with the copy, choose Remove environment → Confirm removal: the original project retains applied files.

To stop a task, open its chat and choose Conversation tools → Interrupt request. Available results remain reviewable in Task environments.
