This guide covers tools included in Code Weaver Premium. Sign in to your account in the IDE and check that Premium is active. Without Premium you can still browse, search, edit and save your files.
Example: ask your agent to explain a module#
You have installed and configured an ACP 1-compatible agent on this PC. Connect it to Code Weaver to request an explanation of the cart module and follow its reply, tools and any approvals in the project interface.
Save and verify the connection#
Verification reads the options advertised by the agent and prepares the connection. The catalog then lets you choose the model in chat.
- Open Settings → App & AI → AI connections on this PC and choose Add AI connection.
- Enter a Connection name and select Local agent · ACP as Provider.
- In ACP executable, enter the full .exe path. In ACP arguments, enter a JSON array of strings, as in the Node script example below.
- If the agent documents specific IDs, enter them in Read-only mode ID and Agent mode ID.
- Choose Save connection, then Verify and refresh models in the new connection row.
["D:/Tools/my-agent/cli.mjs", "--acp"]Complete the program configuration#
For the sample script, ACP executable must point to your node.exe. Use the arguments required by the program you installed. If it needs environment variables, enter a JSON object in the protected Program environment field: values are kept in the Windows credential vault. Use the agent’s official sign-in command before verifying.
Result and next step#
The connection is ready for project conversations. You can also use it with Task environment → Isolated copy · final review and inspect the result before integrating it.
- Open New conversation in the project and select the connection and model.
- Choose Plan and ask: “Explain how the total is calculated and identify tests to read.”
- Read the response and activity journal. To assign an edit, choose Act and review approval requests in chat.
