A little clarity.
Is Code Weaver ready for production?
The current release is 1.0.0-beta.1 for Windows. It is a beta: keep your usual source-control and backup practices while you evaluate it. The installer is currently unsigned.
How does the AI assistant work?
Code Weaver connects to local Codex using your ChatGPT account. AI inference is provided online by OpenAI and is subject to the availability and limits of your account. Your Code Weaver subscription is separate from ChatGPT.
What gets synchronized?
Selected preferences, including appearance, language and shortcuts, can follow your account across PCs. Your source code, local file paths, conversations, credentials and AI permissions are not included in settings sync.
Can I use more than one PC?
The plan is per person, so you can use your own account on your PCs. Your local projects remain on the computer where you keep them.
Can I manage or cancel my subscription?
When billing is enabled, your account opens the Stripe customer portal to manage your payment method, invoices and subscription. Checkout shows the price and applicable tax before payment.
Does it run on macOS or Linux?
The distributed desktop build currently targets Windows x64. We are not offering macOS or Linux installers at this stage.
